• If the student is able to meet the UK Student Visa Requirements by showing an acceptable proof of funds, then an online visa interview stage is conducted before granting the UK student visa.

New Post-study Visa Rules

The UK Government, as part of its International Education Strategy has re-introduced the post-study visa for its international students. 

This move is a result of the UK government’s strategy to promote UK education for international students and thereby draw the international student crowd to the UK. It aims to increase the student population to 600,000 by 2030 from 460,000 that was observed in 2017-18.

The student numbers had significantly declined due to the withdrawal of the PSW in the UK. After China, India happens to be the largest in terms of applicants from outside the European Union. • PhD students will be allowed to work for 1 year after their degree.
• Students will also be allowed to apply for a skilled work visa up to 3 months before their course completion.
